10:43, just came in to work and sorted and read and replied to all kinds of corporate mail, meeting invitations and bug reports.

going to meet our DBA soon to see if our database script to
enable Java with our Oracle Instance ran without errors this
time... trying to load the damned class I wrote for three days
    now.

Going to add a feature to our client application, started yesterday,
should be done in an hour or so... have to test it on NT as our
production people are a bit behind and don't have 2K as we do...

Meeting at 14:00 to discuss when and how our department
    moves to another floor.

Waiting for the next user to complain...

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.

Its 11:49 and I'm annoyed at Sales and management people for effectively giving me no notice or time to knock up a limited demo for the product I'm working on when I really need to working on the product itself because some of the implementation is being a real pain argh and the demo will actually involve integrating a couple of the area's that don't actually communicate particularly well at the moment.

And wondering what they'll do when they realise that after the end of next week I've got two weeks off to move house and de-stress myself for the year and that I'm the only person working on this.

And I'm thinking that I'm getting some kind of sinus infection and all I want to do is go home and go to sleep.

And worrying about a load of my best friends who are really stressing out but are 200 miles away and that I can do SFA to help.

That felt good. I really needed to vent some of that

7:53 am and I'm laughing at the news about the new Austin Powers film, Goldmember.

Sitting in my comfy red chair at work and wondering why I'm here...

I'm essentially just going to kill time until I get out of here in 3 hours. I would work, but I have no idea how to debug code that apparently isn't even in my program.

I'm about to throw my protocol switch, so-called "smart block", and possibly most of my computer out the window. Maybe that'll teach the compiler to give me errors on lines 1000 lines after the end of my code....

I'm also about to start a totally worthless thread that did well at somethingawful, and produced some funny results.

    Now, I'm hitting "Submit Reply"

Its Friday and I am p........ing my life away sat in front of an IBM monitor, drinking PEPSI max and trying to convince myself to try write a telnet.client.

My friends have gone to a works bash so I am alone with my mp3s.

I've even given up drinking and smoking for a while so no relief there.

2AM - Saturday. Telnet client coming on OK (Graphical interface & Winsock works OK - but plagued by pointer madness and it keeps crashing)

Will keep going and will fall asleep soon.

Been listning to that Staind song (Its been a while) all night, and it hasnt got on my t*ts yet - new personal record.

Flat mate came back from work's night-out apsolutely p........ed out of his skull - envious for a while, but then thought why would I want to spend my Friday night with people I work with. Find consolation in this fact.

Grimace at the thought that I have got to drag my a*se out of bed & get my hair cut tomorrow. Remember that hairdressers has some nice looking ladies that cut hair. Find consolation in this fact.

    Anyway back to the code..........
