Well, if it does bother you, then you could take it up with google. Send them an email saying not all programmers are interested in seeing ads related to hacking and they should fix their ad service.

breaching the security of someone's files is a criminal offense, you are promoting it with that ad.
Wouldn't hurt to CC Microsoft as well, along with a link to Amazon for a good cryptography book. They might just learn something.

"hacking" excel passwords is not necessarily illegal activity.
There are 10 types of people in this world, those who cringed when reading the beginning of this sentence and those who salivated to how superior they are for understanding something as simple as binary.

Though you'd probably still be violating some Terms of Use agreement by overriding security measures. I'd check, but who really reads those things anyway?
A thing that really bugs me in those Terms of Service IS THAT HALF OF THE TERMS OF SERVICE IS WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS AND LITTLE OR NO EASY-READ FORMAT WHICH GETS VERY ANNOYING AFTER A WHILE BECAUSE IT SEEMS AS IF THEY ARE SHOUTING AT YOU AND IT GETS INTO YOUR HEAD AFTER A WHILE AND THAT REALLY BUGS ME.
Harder to read, easier to notice. The reason it's in all caps, obviously, is to signify it's importance. In fact, in the past year, any private-party program I download, I always scan the terms to make sure it's not installing any kind of spyware, which, is always said somewhere in the terms, regardless of how elusively they phrase it.

Have you ever read the terms of service on any software > $29.99? The wording makes it like everthing is against the terms of service.
I stopped reading them. Now I just wing it.
