I read about this a few months ago in popular science - pretty cool idea - sure will make harddrives smaller physically.

BTW - can anyone say school house rock

I've never felt smarter when trying to learn about some new technology.

From now on, I declare all technology spec sheets be presented in school house rock manner.
(it should be realized my posts are all in a light hearted manner. And should not be taken offense to.)

Gotta get a job with Hitachi.

Interesting technology. Wonder if there are any unforeseen drawbacks like when Kenwood came out with 72x CD-ROMs. The laser was split into seven lasers and it was the fastest CD-ROM in the world. Problem was that as the disc aged and got scratches on it, the drive could not read it because the split laser's were returning bad info.
