What if real was like....fake.
what if our everything is somebody else's nothing... what if we're the bacteria under some scientist's microscope... could it be that there's some much bigger race out there looking down on us thinking "well, this atmosphere seems to kill off most/all of the bacteria we've been having trouble with"
what if there are other test tubes, some of them teeming with us "bacteria", all with different 'universes' in them... each one nothing more than a simple lab test to find out what a new bio-terror weapon can survive... what if all the time our universe will be around will be nothing more than an overnight test in some lab?
who knows... maybe in the next few billion years (hours in their time), they'll decide that this test is over and flush our tube... and our entire lives, and everything we know, will go down as a scribble in a book saying "the bacteria cannot survive in a vacuum without light"
and no, I did not pull that out of MIB, but that's the general idea
and yes, I do need sleep.
