Angry Windows Media is not working!!!

For some reason, my windows media player and other players suddenly wouldn't play anything at all. When i open a media file, it just freeze up the whole thing or going real so (the media file doesn't play but the screen is almost like freeze up). I check the task manager and check the CPU, the player took 99 percent usage. What on earth is going on, can somebody help me with this. Thanks

do a housecall scane, could be a virus. Also, try other videos, could be the file itself.

edit: take my adive and spelling with a grain of salt because im taking it with a bere.

Nope, my computer is free of virus and spyware, because i scan it every saturday, as well as spyware. It is not the file itself. I open the old media files that could play a long time ago and it does the same thing.
