    ClearType

I don't know if everyone is using this already and I've just not seen it, but I found a "gadget" today which may help some people with flat/lcd screens, that run Windows XP.

If you right click the desktop, select Properties, then the Appearence tab, then click the Effects button, put a tick in the "Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts" and set the drop down box to "ClearType", OK and Apply.

I wasn't sure at first, but it really does seem to make certain fonts at least, easier to read. I assume there is some kind of hit somewhere, but I haven't noticed it yet.

As I said, it could be you all use it anyway, when I first loaded XP, I went on a spree of turning all the tricks and gadgets off.

I'm one of those people who can't seem stand ClearType or any anti-aliased font settings. It's probably not the fault of the fonts themselves but my eyes just see them as "blurred" fonts.

My eyes see them fine until my brain explodes and my eyes go with it. ClearType gives me the worst headache, I'm not quite sure why.
