    Cool Visual Studi/IE Crash

    Hi,

i have recently installed visual studio, and now for the first time i run IE after a reboot, it crashes, in that the top cornter of ie says gray for about 20 seconds then i can use the program, otherwise it is completely inactive for the first 20 seconds, then after i have run it once it will run fine after that, until i reboot again.

anyone know what is casuing this conflict?

    Thanks

Try updating Visual Studio to SP4 and IE to version 6.

Most problems like this are contributed by DLL hell. Update your system to
    windows 2000 which fixes it.

Sounds like either a corrupted installation, or you need to clean your registry out. The final solution might be to format you hard drive and reinstall. Try RegVac www.regvac.com - it can search for bad registry keys, which may fix your problem.

    Good luck.

    Red face

    Hi,

I have formatted sice the problem first occured, infact i have upgraded most of the parts inside my comp, and the problem is still there, so it shoudnt be a corrupt instalation. Or reg keys as i have reinstalled it about 5 times.

    Anyone have any ideas...
    Thanks

Have you searched on Microsofts site for any conflicts between IE and VS? You could maybe give them a call. Sorry, but if you did a format (not just a reinstall), then either there is an error on the installation disk of VS, or your hard drive is stuffed and you need to buy a new one. Anyone else got any idea's?
