    colors

Hey guys, I'm new the to board, is there any way to change the text color from red to something else? I know some of these vBoards support skins and customizations like that.

Are you colourblind? I know a guy who can't see red at all, I can imagine it doesn't help very much.

This is a serious question BTW (could sound either way)

No, I'm not, but you are right that red is a bad color to use because of colorblindedness (is that a word??). I just find red an annoying color to read text in, but at least it's just text links and not the bodies of the messages.

change your browser settings for links, and force the browser to use your colour settings.
    then the red goes away.

yea I could do that, but it would screw up other sites. It's not a big deal though, I can live with it.

I don't know about this forum, maybe its not possible as somebody said but give it a try, maybe there is a skin change somewhere...
I also think the forums should be renewed into a newer version of vBulletin.

For people who are color blind; what color does pure red look like?

It depends on the type; there are many types of color blindness. If somebody can't see red at all, then red things look dark. So the link's text can be read, but the reader can't tell if it is a link or not.

The solution to this is to underline all hyperlinks.
