    Language character frequencies

I picked up the book "The code book" several days ago, and got started with the $15,000 cipher challenge in the back. I obviously don't expect to figure out all ten stages, but it's kinda fun. That said, I found out that these challenges aren't all in english (the first one was, but the second and fourth weren't)

I'm trying to figure out the third one, a monoalphabetic substitution cipher with homophones, but I'm not sure it's in english, and I can't seem to find any information on the character frequencies of other languages. (For example, in english, e has a frequency of like 13%)

Does anyone know any (preferably online) resources for that sort of thing? Actually, the most common bigraphs and trigraphs would probably be even more helpful

The assignment? It's ongoing...First, I need to research and write a 12+ page research paper, then I need 15+ hours on the project.

Oh yeah, and I finally figured out the third stage (it's not in english, of course)
