    The sound of cboard?

I just had a wacky idea following the 'Post Pics of yourself' thread. Hows about we post up info about ourselves in a sound format :-O

As soon as I get my microphone working under Linux I'll whack out some info about moi into a .wav file (or something) for all the listen to.

Just stuff like where you live, what you do, your name (real/nick) etc

I know it could be done without sound, but where's the fun in that?

A request: if anyone does this, could they please upload to another location and link to that? The server for these boards gets enough of a beating without having gigabytes of sound files in 1 thread.

I dont think soundfiles are uploadable without messing with the extensions, but anyway...

Did you ever see the old 'post your voices' thread at OFD? I've still got the song somewhere with all the voices in it.

The first poster chooses a well-known song and sings the first few words. The second poster continues and so on. Wouldn't that be fun?

Fun like kicking dead animals is fun?
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

That's a lot of fun, too! How about videos of singing the well-known song while kicking dead animals.

That's why you record it and then immediately put the data into Audacity and compress it down into ogg files.
