    Thumbs up Google Earth!!

    Many of you probably know about this already.. but I just recently found out about it.. and I think it is wicked neat..! (made using OpenGL!!)

    Grrr... no Mac support yet.

    I went in for a physical a month ago, and the doctor was playing around with this program in the exam room... he was showing me his new house, the nearby golf course, etc. It was rather entertaining.
    The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

    Practically useless to anyone who isn't American/Canadian though. My area is limited to about a 1000ft view, tried looking at London and that's not much better.

    When I played around with it (gave it an address), it was close, but not dead on. You may have to search around a little.

    It seems that some areas go to a higher resolution than others.

    Is there an option like "Draw Everything Nicely" that I forgot to check?

    Woo for post 300. Wish it was a more meaningful post. Ah well, I wish a lot of things I did were more meaningful. One more can't hurt.

    It seems that if the areas are more rural (less people = less important) the photos are less detailed. Notice how in the major cities you can see people on the sidewalk, and cars in the street.
