    Rock's such a huge genre that that's easy to do. I mean, Coldplay and Motorhead are both considered rock, but they sound nothing alike.

    I'm not sure I'd include the Gorillaz in there as the same genre, though.

    I would post my list, but it's ever changing. I'll listen to most anything besides country or modern r&b, but mostly listen to rock and rap (like that narrows it down )

    I'm not one to play favorites--they change by the minute, so: here's a list of songs from CD's I've actually payed for and have taken the time to rip to my computer, in alphabetical order.
    not necessarily favorites, and I don't necessarily like every song in the list...

    I won't list every song, but I have various CDs from the following artists. Finch, The Used, Trust Company, Hoobastank, Breaking Benjamin, Adema and Earshot. Those are the ones I actually like enough to buy their CD.

    U.S. That may be why...the bands I listed aren't international superstars, they are pretty popular but not that well known. Not really mainstream either.

    Those 2 I would say are, but not as mainstream as Linkin Park or that other crap. Most of the other bands I wouldn't even see some kid wearing a T-shirt of. I only consider bands "mainstream" crap when all the goth kids start buying their CDs and T-shirts because the band is popular. Not so much the case with those, except The Used is becoming like that. I don't mind if they are slightly mainstream...as long as they aren't really mainstream then it OK.
