I wanna learn C programming language. However, someone adviced me to know its rules before learning C.
So, anyone can tell me its rules in C ? Or any examples to demonstrate its rules
Any replies will be appreciated.

1st RULE: You do not talk about C.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about C.
3rd RULE: If someone says "stop" or goes limp, taps out the project is over.
4th RULE: Only two guys to a project.
5th RULE: One project at a time.
6th RULE: No shirts, no shoes.
7th RULE: programming will go on as long as they have to.
8th RULE: If this is your first night at C programming, you HAVE to program.
Happy coding!
You learn the "rules" of a language by learning it and by experience. I don't see how you can learn the "rules" of a programming language without learning the language in the process.
Either the person that advised you does not know what they are talking about, or there has been some serious information loss in the translation process.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.
The first thing you need to do is either get a book on the language, or pick a tutorial series. This site has one. Read it. Try the programs and challenges in it. If you have problems, post your code, your compiler and operating system, and any errors or problems you're having. Then we'll help you find the problem and keep learning. That's how you learn the rules of C.
And since you're new to the board, this is how you learn the rules of CBoard: http://cboard.cprogramming.com/annou...ouncementid=51. Welcome.
