Huh...tell me about it!!!!!
I have posted stuff a month or so ago with exactly the same scenario.....
Here's a good one from a fortnight ago....
I had this organisation that we pay money to.......I looked at their situation and decided they werent to have any more for a while. Wrote a letter in English and paid to have it translated ( As I could tell they were the type of idiots to complain). They disagreed with me and asked for the basis of my decision. I sent out an excel sheet with a breakdown of thier postion and showed why I thought they should get no more cash. They then threatned to report me to the "Welsh Language Board" for not sending the spreadsheet in Welsh.......Every bloody cheque I had sent them in the past was in english and they didnt report me then!!!!!!!!
Due to a law passed by the assembly here, all public organisations should communicate with the public in both Welsh as English.....even though;
1. There are less than 20% who know the language
2. Only a minute fraction of them cant speak English...if any!!
3. There are so many regional dialects that a letter written by a lifelong welsh speaker is often incomprehensable to another with the same experience of the language.
This country is a scream...trust me
