cool stuff, firefox notifier is a cool idea. I wrote a gmail notifier that runs in the toolbar though, and even though i have firefox open %95 of the time im on my computer, its usually on its own desktop so im not always seeing it.

Lots of good info there, i didnt know about escape to move focus from text widgets so you can give key commands.. very VI like

the gmail notifier offered by google is really good. Sits right there in the taskbar, doesnt take barely any resources, and is instantaneous in notifying you of your new mail.

another thing ide like to add is a 3rd party shell thingy called gmail drive, it adds a drive to a windows machine that allows you to just open it up in explorer and add files to and from your gmail account. pretty neat if you want to use the 2 gigs they offer.

edit << heres a link to gmail drive dl http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4405.html
    Hmm
