I'm looking for a program that will make a Linux or (hopefully not) Windows machine, and act just like an 11 channel microphone mixer, amp, and recorder. I hope that somone has seen something like this! Thanks!

This looks like it might be what you want (it's on windows though).
EDIT
Hmm..I'll look for something with more features
There is such a program but its expensive but i think you can download trial versions for a few days. Irs called SoundForge, not sure if you've tryed it, http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.co...orgefamily.asp
another one is fruity loops http://www.e-officedirect.com/FLStud...sh/frames.html
When no one helps you out. Call google();
I'm looking at the ones that you are showing, and they seem to lack one feature that I forgot to mention. I need the program to combine and then play out the the speakers. This system will be replacing a meeting system of two 6 channel microphone mixers, an amp, and a tape deck, and this system needs to work in a similiar way.
linux friendly and open source.

I use Cakewalk SONAR 4
Audacity may be just What I need. Thanks for your help guys!
