I liked the counter with like 7 decimals However, realistically, I really don't care since I've only used 15 megs anyways. The attachment is still 10 meg max isn't it, that's all I really care about.
I've got 65mb filled up. I have people swamp me with videos and high resolution photos.
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
I've got 304MB used...but I've also been using my account as a small backup for my projects....haha.
they should probably have waited a little longer before releasing the news than April 1st though... lots of confusion over wether it was real or not

2 Gigs??? Yahoo offers 250mg and its more than enough for me.
I pity those hotmail users who still use a 2 megs account

Hotmail is great. Why would you need so much space anyway? I delete my emails after i read them so i always have 250mb. Besides if i want to send videos or pictures to someone i upload them to my schools ftp account, and email them a 1 line link. Now thats service.
When no one helps you out. Call google();
Hotmail bumped up to 250meg for free accounts several months ago.Originally Posted by Brain Cell

I believe some countries are excluded.
I remember reading something that said only certian countries got the upgrade.I believe some countries are excluded.
Even if hotmail offer 1 gig , its still the worst e-mail in my opinion. The interface is slow\crowded and it's SPAM protection is weak.

Hmm... my bad. I didn't know it was a country-based thing. That's crappy.
hotmail could offer me a dedicated server with 1TB, and I would still not use them... their spam protection is absolute garbage, and their interface is slow (thanks to the 50 billion ads on every page) and not to mention the random errors I get on my system about a missing semicolon somewhere in their code, and the fact that they try to load their virus into my other computer every time I visit their site...Originally Posted by Brain Cell

Agreed. So far, Gmail's spam protection has a perfect score in my experience, while Hotmail frequently filtered email's from my brothers and sent me spam in it's stead. And Google Email is just plain awesome...hotmail could offer me a dedicated server with 1TB, and I would still not use them... their spam protection is absolute garbage, and their interface is slow (thanks to the 50 billion ads on every page) and not to mention the random errors I get on my system about a missing semicolon somewhere in their code, and the fact that they try to load their virus into my other computer every time I visit their site...
I've wondered whether there actually is 1 gigabyte of diskspace for every Gmail user, but like major_small said, there's never a problem. Nice company - I like Google. Very innovative.
How do you get a GMail account then? They say "We're currently only offering Gmail as part of a preview release and limited test".
