    >> I just got kicked out of the top 5
And I just pulled ahead by a nose again I think we'll be flip-flop'n until kermit catches up

    >> As far as it minimizing games....
On my boxes, FAH is the only app running at idle priority. If you have a NT-based OS, then any non-idle app gets CPU time when it needs it. So if you're running a CPU intensive game or app, then FAH is essentially "not running" because it's getting very little CPU time.

There are some things that are now slow probably because they are done at "idle-time". For example, the key repeat rate in visual studio is twice is slow. So I've learned to use page-down instead of holding the down key. The key repeat rate in all other windows controls work fine.

You also have to be mindful of how much memory is being used by FAH. If you're running low on memory then that can slow everything down. Setting the "allow large WU's" option will cause more memory to be used.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Simulation instability has been encountered. The run has entered a state from
which no further progress can be made. This may be the correct result of the
simulation, however if you often see other project units terminating early like
this too, you may wish to check the stability of your computer (issues such as
    high temperature, overclocking, etc.).
It's a first for me (2/3 of the way through a 600 points WU, too ); I'm not overclocking and the cpu is cool enough so I'm assuming it's a bad WU. If anyone else has completed this WU (1150 - see f@h projects) - looking at you pianorain, alphaoide, kermit - did it die on you, too?

It appears I've been credited with ~400 of the 600 points which presumably corresponds to the 2/3 completed so it looks like proportional credit may be given for partially completed WU's.

Just started project 1807, a 19 point WU. I don't think I've done one that small before - I'm sure it must be someone else's.

I didn't see anything about p1150 being a bad WU in the forum. I'll check my log when I get back to work on Monday and see what it says.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

8/15/2005 Stanford network issues. The Stanford net is having major issues right now and is slow. Stanford IT knows about the issue and is on it. Hopefully there won't be much impact on FAH, although clients may need to retry more often until this is fixed.

I just found out my FAH client was stopped >.<

I was wondering why I'd made no progress on my WU in the last two days
