I don't really think the nominations were visible enough (a thread would have been perfect; I don't read the announcements because they change so infrequently). All of the choices are good, but a vote for sean is a vote for freedom!

I think an announcement should also have a GD thread to it...I had no idea there were official nominations going on

    Campaign Speech

In honor of our former moderator, whose name appears in the credits of Napolean Dynamite several times, I feel I should say something, and quote Pedro:

If you vote for me, all of your wildest dreams will come true!

I'm afraid I have no skit.

We apologize that so few people saw the nominations announcement. The moderators have decided that we were looking for very specific criteria in a moderator in this election. For example, they have to be in US/Canadian time zones and been on the board for at least 18-24 months.

We have spent the last week combing through names and deciding if people would be suitable nominees. However, due to the confusion we are willing to look at more names. If you have someone you think should be up there you may PM me and I present the name to the moderators. We will hold this extended nomination for 24 hours.

For the time being polls will remain closed in the event that we need to add candidates.

He's the one that turned it down, RoD. Why would he want it back? :P

Although, I agree that he's pretty much the best mod ever.
