I'm sure there must be a reason for it (such as the way the board handles time zones, etc), but I like to believe that Sang-Drax invented a functional flux capacitor (and a power source to generate the required 1.21 gigowatts) and uses it to travel into the future to correct typos in messages he's posted in the past.
