    gmail going public?

I just noticed that I now have 50 invites to give out....I'm not sure what, if anything, that signifies for gmail. Did you guys get the 50 invites as well? your thoughts?

    Yes I did.
Do they really expect people with gmail to have 50 friends and yes I think they will be going public soon

I've only got 5 left, but I noticed they made it a lot easier to invite people now. There's just a box you type the person's name in and voila as opposed to the popup window they used to have.

"I concur", as my chemistry teacher used to say. I have noticed the changes as well.

I'm wondering if the excellent service will be affected by going public. Though if people want a Gmail account it's really not that hard to get one.

I have 50 invites but I can't freakin get it to work with opera. It says my session has timed out right after I try to log in.

gmail's already in the lead in that poll, but don't forget, people who are likely to visit newegg are nerds in the first place... either way, gmail took my 6 invites away
