    LinuxQuestions Choice Awards Ends Today!!

I'm not exactly sure what happens, but I can't wait until the results are in!

The polls are suppose to close today, so the results tomorrow I'm guessing. Is anyone anxious about this like I am?

Can't wait! This decides what distribution I'm going to get. The polls have already closed, and I can't wait until I get to see the results.

EDIT: Hey! I just realized I have to be a member to look at the results

    Stupid things pop singers say

"I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada."
    - Britney Spears

"I love what you've done with the place!"
-Jessica Simpson upon meeting the Secretary of Interior during tour of the White House

No not yet, Jeremy still has to be make the official results. It'll probably be a page that's totally public. You just had to be a member to vote.

    Two good reasons are
    1) it's free
    2) there are distros which meat just about everyone's needs

You can cook penguins... Delicious, from what I hear.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

A very wise person once said

"if you have to ask why you need to use linux, perhaps you shouldnt."

Win XP's not a bad system, actually. I quite like it. But Unix-based systems are simply different. They're targeted more towards people in computer science, so they're generally better suited to such tasks (you'll find them enormously popular in places like Cboard). Win XP is targeted more towards the average family user, so it's aimed more at user-friendliness and ease of use.

    Hardcore real pc:

    Linux

    Easily marketable and teachable:

    Windows

I dunno, it's uncanny how there is actually a LOT more to Win XP than the GUI which accompanies it (and even the GUI is tremendously under-utilized by your typical user). The typical GUI navigation, Office products, and IE are pretty much all anybody ever seems to learn. If more than just the desktop environment were taught to your average user the world would be a better place (well at least the sky may be bluer and birds would sing all the time ).
