I know a lot of people here are too young to have ever watched him, but he was a great and very funny man who could dance circles around Leno and Letterman. We shall miss you Johnny

GASP!
I just recently (within the last couple days) saw a news item about his recent activities and it mentioned nothing of his health. What a terrible shame.
Many popular comedians wouldn't be anywhere near famous right now if it weren't for him.

Yeah I just heard on the radio on Friday that he anonymously sent in bits for Letterman to do for a while, and it just came out recently or something that it was him. Apparently he also figured it really should have been Letterman who got his job. I thought that Johnny picked Leno personally though?

I think it was after Letterman had already signed with CBS, but I could be wrong.

Geez... --Rep'ing my earlier reply in this thread with an insulting comment just because your feelings were hurt in another thread. And hunting down other messages of mine just to --rep some more.
Is that common practice on these forums?
Let's just say a lot of people are on their periods lol...Originally Posted by Scribbler

I think you are implying that it was me...I did leave you negative rep (twice) but only in the other thread, which GC closed. If your comment is not directed towards me, then disregard this post and carry on .Originally Posted by Scribbler
