I have question for this though.
Why the heck is it not in the GD?

Woop?
phosphorousgobu, I’m sorry you got slapped so hard. I was going to give you a couple of hints, but the post was already closed. And, if this wasn't a take-home test it was too late anyway. This is not a chat-room, it’s a bulletin board. Responses will trickle-in over a day or two.
On your test, you were having trouble with the terminology. Here’s good resource: FOLDOC.
If you had read the Forum Guidelines and Homework Policy you would have realized that your post was a violation of the rules.
I strongly support the high ethical standards of this board. It would be easy to say “anything goes”, but the standards help make cprogramming.com the best programming forum on the Internet! We are blessed with great moderators and members with high standards.
It's not just "the rules”. The attitude here is to help you learn… to help you discover for yourself. I know it’s frustrating when no one will give you the straight answer… but that’s our culture here. We are curious people who enjoy experimenting, discovering, and learning.
Any class is better than no-class. A lot of members here are self-taught (books & Internet). I’ve never taken a C, or C++ class, although I have taken classes in a few other programming languages. University professors aren’t necessarily better teachers. Many community colleges have excellent instructors, and some of them have “day jobs” as real programmers! Community college courses are usually more practical than university courses. In community college you can take Automotive Technology and learn how to repair your car… You can graduate from a university with a Mechanical Engineering degree without learning how to repair your car!…REAL teachers who teach you things (as opposed to community college teachers…
>Sarcasm just never seems to come across on this Internet thing.
Sure it does. You just can't be subtle about it or the point may not be made.

So you're the person that caused all that.Ok, whatever. I'm used to people giving me flak on forums. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I was born stupid. I'm sorry I didn't have a high enough G.P.A (or the money) to go to a REAL college with REAL teachers who teach you things (as opposed to community college teachers who point at the board, scribble things that don't have much to do with what you're learning, and mumble incoherently). I'm sorry that I have A.D.D. and I can't wholeheartedly 110% focus all of my attention to my classwork or studies like the blessed majority of you can. I'm sorry that I can't afford Ritalin, and that i have to use the crappy generic "Methylphenedat" as a poor substitiute. I'm sorry for trying to make you guys violate the forum rules and CHEAT for me.
I'm sorry for the troble in Iraq. i'm sure Osama saw me asking for help on another forum at another time and said "That All*h d*mned capitalist pig whitey! How dare he ask people to do his work for him! Just for that, America will get 2 747 planes up the rear end!"
I'm sorry for cancer. I'm sure that came from when I asked people on the Jinx forums how to hack into my school network. I'm sorry for sin..I'm sure that came from when I was on the volkswagen forums and i said that the Ible air stabilizer valve pumped fuel into the engine, which was bull crockery. I'm sorry for all the times I complained about being locked by mods. I 190,020% deserved each and every one of those lockings.
Don't blame us. Just learn your lesson and move on. People on this board tend to give flak pretty easily, but that's because it's a very active community. Another result of an active community is that people move on pretty fast.
I love a good rant! Thanks.

>>We have several members that will flame you to a crisp at the slightest (possibly imagined) mistake.
Prelude is the 'Good cop', we have many 'Bad cops'.
"Man alone suffers so excruciatingly in the world that he was compelled to invent laughter."
Friedrich Nietzsche
"I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars......the rest I squandered."
George Best
"If you are going through hell....keep going."
Winston Churchill
Rubbish. Prelude's had her moments too. And we're not bad cops. We just like dressing up.
Dressing up as Prelude? "Ooh, this feels nice..."
Essentially the easiest way to communicate with us is by saying "I have a problem with..." and then - get this - posting code!
This will 99.9999999999% of the time earn you some constructive comments, and if you're courteous to the posters afterward, positive reputation, which can be traded in for all sorts of cool CProgramming.com merchandise, like a sexy baseball cap, for instance. IMO.
Also, Ritalin is free if you live in a country with a crumbling socialist medical system like mine. Mmmm... (munch munch munch)
Two things :
- Learn from any mistakes you might have done ..
- lay down and listen to "don't worry , be happy".
