Some of you may remember several months back when I was asking about which Hawaiian island you might recommend because my wife and I are going to go celebrate something I won't mention (so this thread isn't castrated). Anyway, we decided to go to the wonderful island Maui (No Ka Oi!). Our trip is in mid-January and will be for 6 days. I'm just curious if any of you might have some recommendations of things to do, places to go, or sights to see while we're there. We want to get the most out of it.
So far we plan on seeing the sunrise from the tip of Haleakala, ferrying to Molokai island, of course attending a luau, and we'll have a convertible that we will use to explore every inch of the island that we can on our own with the top down (we don't like just sitting in tourist spots).
Any tips or suggestions will be great. We're nearing the final stages of our planning with the details of a couple days still up in the air. Thanks.
