Yeah great...just what we need; a version written in a dead language that has enjoyed resurgence since the gogs came south upon realising that there was more to life than living in caves. It might seem funny to some, but they don’t have to live with this nonsense.

If there was time, EVERYTHING should be translated to another language. Languages that are rapidly loosing speakers NEED to be resurrected. For example, Americans wiped out many of the native american people then when they were sent to our schools, they were forbidden to speak their own language. Some of the most incredible languages I've heard came from the native americans. No language or culture deserves to die out.

That example isn't unique Lurker... Unfortunately, it's happened many times throughout history.
On the other hand, I see no reason why Microsoft or any other company would devote resources to converting to a relatively uncommon language. I'm not so sure I see the economic benefits.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.
Someone actually from Wales can confirm or deny this (and I believe Fordy's the only member still active from there), but Welsh people tend to be very, very insistent that the people they talk to speak Welsh. Most of them know English, but hate speaking it, even if they're in an area where most people don't know Welsh.

I'm not from Wales, but from visits there I know that many Welsh detest English with a vengeance .... go into a local siop, especially in North Wales, and they're all speaking cymraeg.
All the roadsigns are in English and Welsh:
Canol y dref = Town Centre
Arafwch nawr = Reduce speed now
My favourite sign (not on the roads though!) has got to be Dim ysmygu but I doubt that you'd find that in Windows applications somehow.
But there again, there's always this version of Windows.

I disagree, langauges develop, influence other langugaes and die. It's unnecessary to keep languages like that alive (im not talking about Welsh here) but when there are only a few die-hard patriots trying to keep the language alive then it is as good a dead anyway.
I live in Cornwall, there must be about 500 people that speak the language, why keep this language alive when it is no longer a tool for communication but for trying to alienate the people that live there but are not Cornish by birth. A lot of people try to revive it and want the emmets (cornish: tourist/visitors) whoch extends to people that have lived there twenty years + to go home. So much the words of the Cornish flag Onen hag Oll "One and All"
Lets hope we Microsoft have no plans of a Cornish version of Windows
Monday - what a way to spend a seventh of your life
Well I live in South Wales, where English people are generally tolerated (except after rugby matches, of course), mostly because a lot of people moved from England into that part of Wales.
As a consequence, it's one of the best connected places in the country, you can pick up digital TV there on a portable aerial in a lot of places and get something like 2Mb broadband on cable, which is more than can be said for where I am at uni in England at the mo...
Welsh nationalism is a somewhat touchy issue. There are a few people who like pushing the language in other's faces, but I don't think it's gonna go anywhere. Whatever you're doing, you're gonna have to deal in English sometimes, and the internet is a case in point.
What shocks me is that the schools can actually afford XP licences. When I left my "high school" two years ago they were still using 95.
