    Oh....I suppose that would have worked too, heh. I'm still rather new to linux so I don't really know too much about it at all....Right now I'm updating stuff and I'm trying to figure out how to change the theme, because I installed X Windows, K Desktop (or something), and GNOME, and 2 other packages....but I don't know how to change between them to see each one......I'm going to look around on the net for a bit and research stuff. I finally got everything restored on the windows side of my computer, now to play around with the linux side

    Ah, ok, sessions and stuff on the boot menu changes your current session....*keeps playing around with stuff*

    Now to figure out why my resolution's sticking in 1024x768 and not changing when I reboot....

    ...I guess the problem with the drivers is that I need the source for linux or something like that because it needs to compile something....durrr *is confused*

    Applications -> System Settings -> Display.

    make sure you tell it what kind of hardware (moniter) you have. You shouldnt have to recompile your kernel for that.
