    The Incredibles

I just saw this on Sunday. While I don't think my kids probably liked it as much as Nemo or Monsters Inc., I have to say it was pretty awesome. There is more grown up humor here. The first half of the movie is a commentary on the way we struggle with living "normal lives" and feel that we are settling. The main character feels the strain of not living out his dreams. When we got into the second half, it was all action. My kids started to like it there. Elastigirl and Dash in particular have really fun scenes.

One cool and interesting thing that I noticed. Violet is shy and she wears her hair in front of her face to hide herself and what's her super power? Invisibility!

I love everything Pixar has put out so I may have become biased, but I think this is a must see.

I have never seen a Pixar movie that wasn't awesome, and I don't expect this to be any different.

I saw a thing where the makers were talking about the movie and the super powers. Like the mom can strech because well thats what it seems like real mom's have to do. The boy has super speed because he's so hyped on sugar like most boys. So they were trying to mirror real life.

It'd be interesting to see how you guys rank the pixar movies. Here's mine:

    1. Finding Nemo
    2. Monsters Inc.
    3. Toy Story 2
    4. The Incredibles
    5. Toy Story
    6. A Bug's Life

Am I forgetting any? The Incredibles only ranks 4th because I think the first half didn't hold the attention of young kids. For me it was great though.

nope, ants wasn't pixar. Neither was shark tale, shrek, ice age, etc.

I checked the Pixar website. Apparently the only ones released so far are the ones I had in my list.

They've made some really good short films, too. The guy playing chess against himself is my favorite, but the one with the big ugly bird is great, too. For the theatrical release of Finding Nemo they had their first short in front of it; I don't remember much about it beyond being amazed they could do that 10 years ago.

edit: Here's an article that discusses what Thantos mentioned earlier.

It's called "For The Birds". Go here and click on "Watch a Sneak Peak" and then choose you resolution and enjoy. You'll need quicktime to view it and it's only the first half unfortunately. Maybe somewhere else has the full thing (copyright issues?).

I really enjoyed the Incredibles. Wasn't a laugh a minute comedy like some of the other Pixar titles but it had a lot of other great stuff going for it. The shorts are also great, my favorite being the old man playing chess, but I might be a little biased since I'm a chess nerd. Another funny one that hasn't been mentioned was the one with the poor snowman in the snowglobe trying to get out, I used to have that downloaded on my computer but I can't find it.

Heres my list, I've really liked all of them except Monsters Inc.

    1. Finding Nemo
    2. Toy Story
    3. The Incredibles
    4. Toy Story 2
    5. A Bug's Life
    6. Monsters Inc
