    What is that game called?

Its like galaxian or galaga where you fly a spaceship and kill waves of enemies but you get powerups that give you infinitely powerful weapons. Like if you manage to get 20 powerups without dying then ur weapon is so gigantic it takes up the enitre screen and owns everyone in half a second.

it starts off with a 1 bullet shot then increases to 2 bullets until like a whole barage screen full of bullets and then it changes to laser beams and wacko worm lasers and missiles and everything.

Am i just hallucinating cause i saw this game at various arcades

Does this game have galxian-like graphics, or are the sprites way more vivid with a higher-resolution cartoon look? Also, try to be a little bit more descriptive; I have a few airplane shooters in the MAME folder and I only like the absurd crazy ones.

    Try http://www.klov.com

    Xatax?

Again, try to be more descriptive. Is this that game where you're a little gunner in the middle and you rotate to shoot asteroids, etc? Power-ups have to be shot? In Xatax you fly left to right with enemies flying the opposite direction. Power-ups must be flown-over to get them.

Okay sorry guys but its like a game with crappy galaxian graphics (probably a little better) and its played on one of those huge machines that stand up with joystick and like a few buttons buttons.

Its sort of like Striker 1945 except its in space. In Striker your WW2 plane gets like super powerups and has gigantic guns to kill the enemies.

I dunno if you can attach two ships together but I think you can (dont quote me on that)

Your ship can move around left and right (i dunno about front and back)

    Btw what is MAME?

An arcade emulator. Shadow should be able to answer any questions you have on it.

    Right. MAME..

Like I said before, give a search at klov.com a shot. That's a listing of essentially every arcade machine ever made. Also, try to goto mameworld.net, and searching the the currently supported MAME game set, and see about only searching specific game categories(airplane shooters). IIRC, the game database at mameworld has hardware information, general overview of gameplay, and a snapshot.

MAME itself is a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator found at http://www.mame.net - when used in conjunction with exact, digitally accurate images(rips) of the data on all the chips on the game circuit boards neatly organized into a zip file, MAME is able to faithfully reproduce the effects of that game hardware to 99% on your PC. Please realize that in order to achieve such good accuracy, it is all in software mode, creating some really over the top and socking power requirements for otherwise basic games(MK2 will slow down on chips less than 1.4ghz....Cruisin USA/The World requires 4ghz processing power, STV games like Cotton Boomerang require 10ghz, etc.).

Also realize that it's not really a game playing project, but an accurate archival of all boards where some are rare, and some like 1 of only 4 games are destroyed in recent hurricanes. Not intended for game play make sense due to the high speed requirements and the fact that I'm not telling you where to find the roms.

    Good luck.
