what is it?
Hmm... Mouse-clicking == Blinking... Somehow, that seems like a bad idea. The concept is pretty cool, though.
meh, would probably be as buggy as hell, and youd better have a good webcam. it might be the first time you can play quake 3 ith your eyes closed though
I loathe pointers
You ever seen one of those sites where you have to select your state from a map? I like my mouse...
Yeah, I can't imagine it's too accurate... And what if you have a cold? You'll never be able to keep the mouse steady.
hmm but think abt it.. this can be used differently.. for example a large display in a musuem or something which can detect where you are looking at.(but has to be large enough that you have to move you nose along to see it...)
I could see it being cool for an application like that, but I don't think it's practical for normal computer use like web surfing as they suggest.
What about when you just blink.. would you start an application and pop-up a menu!?
Definately interesting but I bet you have alot of undesired effects.
What is C++?
I saw a show on the History Channel about some developments in aerial military technology (right about the time that the F-22 started coming out) and it showed some prototype helmets that steered the plane based on where you were looking, and another one that would turn left if you brain was relaxed, and right if your brain was tense. For the first one, I'd like to look around me and still steer a different way. As for the second, at what time in a real-life dogfight would you feel like a Pina Colada? I mean would your brain ever be relaxed? Anyone here flown a small jet care and would care to comment?
Yeah it's a cool technology, but as Vicious said, it's a bit impractical IMO.
impractical in the uses we think.. but there sure will be applications which can make use of it........
That's true.... maybe like the big helm on that picture of the concept home computer from 1954
well these may not be of any practical use today... but the developments might one day lead to computers which can be operated by our thoughts..... (ok now you can laugh at me)
Nah, I don't doubt something like that'll happen eventually. Maybe it won't be a widely used thing, but I'd be surprised if it didn't become at least a niche thing.Originally Posted by vasanth

You know on some aircraft some weapons such as guns are aimed by the pilot looking where he wants to shoot. Some pretty neat stuff.Originally Posted by sean_mackrory
