hehe, nice. On my last trip from Europe, I met this older guy (about 65) and we started talking. Turns out he was one of the original computer engineers working on the SAGE computers...pretty cool. It was weird how many things worked the same then, and now. Some things had different names: what we call flip-flops they called crossovers - good times.

well, it was a non-functional prototype. However, they were certain it would be possible because of the the intuative tele-type interface and FORTRAN language.Originally Posted by whackaxe

Yah, what the heck did they think we'd have wheels on our puters for? Maybe they thought we'd all be pirates and would command our computers like pirate ships? *shrugs*
Hello? What'd you think that new feature in Intel's next generation chip is supposed to prevent?
I love that wheel!!!

Or does it just open the second cupholder?
I am with jverkoey, it is not a wheel but a helm because they knew that computer scientist are modern pirates in disguise

awww, such a funny picture too. have a look at the tele-type interface, looks like the same one (actually from 1974). This pic was pointed out to me today by someone at work, looks like whackaxe was right all along.
maybe the wheel is for spinning the HD round
I loathe pointers
