    good show on PBS tonite

    there is a show ON tonite that some of you might be interested in: The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud. It will be on at 9pm central, but check your local stations because the times might be different.

    here is the website: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/questionofgod/

    maybe the show will stimulate a flame free discussion....er, yeah.

    edit:: here is one:

    Elder demon Screwtape: "It is funny how mortals always picture us as putting things into their minds; in reality our best work is done by keeping things out." -The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis

    I remember to, i think it was this one:
    If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.

    People who quote people are pretentious pompous asses.

    Thats a real quote by a famous person, I can't remember who, or how exactly it went--but that was the basic meaning.

    well....I don't have much to say as I fell asleep while watching it. I cought the first 30 minutes before I started dosing off and the last 15 minutes before it ended. From what I did see, it wasn't what I expected: I thought it will be a show about the two men's ideas and thoughts about god, but rather it was their biographies. It seems as this is a multi part program because they advertised the next one. Maybe I'll be more awake then
