    If a telnet client or lynx contain buffer overflows, then they can be exploited, it has nothing to do with running w/o a GUI.

    Though that text-based internet that comes bundled with CygWin looks mighty fun (for those of us that don't browse born 24/7).

    I think we can all agree that all programs have exploits to be found, it just takes a good program developer to find and fix the problems.

    While we're talking about bugs in browsers, for anyone with IE, try searching for some text that doesn't exist on a page, and then hit F1 when the OK button comes up. It crashes.

    The only way to have a secure system is to have no internet connection
    And even that may not be secure enough, if someone manages to physically gain access to your computer....
