I think so....
A lot has changed in values over the past hundred years as well.
What are you getting at?

It's an inglish homework question ! College
Can you give me more details ?
Thanks
Sorry... I can't. Use common sense on how you see your parents values and how you view marriage in the modern day.
I had an idea of what marriage looked like before I took the leap.
Realize that women were not as heavily in the workforce in the early 1900s as they are now. SO you can focus on how it is quite normal for both parents to work now-a-days.
THere is a lot of reference out there regarding the subject.

by the way where can i find reference about this subject ?
Ahhhh.... with the wonderful beast that lay before you. Type in www.dogpile.com and perhaps try searching for "present day marriage"
try other searches and see what comes up. Good luck.

My parents are from England.
My Dad worked for a bank, my Mom had just graduated as a doctor.
The bank my father worked for told him that Mom was 'well above his social class' and sent him to a remote spot to stop them seeing each other.
They got married anyway but could only see each other on long holidays.
To get away from the class system they came to Australia in 1962 as '10 pound poms'. My sister was concieved on the boat.
That hopefully does not happen now.

There are more divorces today than there were 100 years ago.
Married couples today are having fewer children than their
100-year old counterparts.
The differences between todays marrieds and those of 100
years ago are many and cover a wide range of issues. You
shouldnt have a problem answering a question like this. I'd
bet the Encyclopedia Britannica has reams of information
on the differences.

No. Wait. Don't hang up!
This is America calling!
100 years ago you couldn't use a forum like this, it has nothing to do with marriage, but I don't care
