I believe I got here right before David because I remember him coming to the board. He sent me emails a while after he got to the old board for displaying images (or something to that effect) which was early 99, I think. I think I got here late 98 or early 99. I remember that Sunlight replied to my first question which was a "how do I pause a console app" question. Other people did too. I think that stee was one of them (anyone know who stee is now?). I feel stupid now for asking such a easy question. Someone told me to use system ("pause") and I got all the 'slow' system calls discussions. Those were exiting days.

I've been going here for probably two to two-and-a-half years; yet, in all that time, I haven't made very many posts! I'm still a "junior member" on this new board. It might actually be closer to three years or more for the first time I actually visited http://www.cprogramming.com/ , but that was before I had become a participant in the forum. Before I had gotten my nick name, I just signed "Anonymous" or something similar.

May 2000 was my first post. I was making some
stupid card-gambling game. I asked so many
questions, I don't even think I can take credit
    for it.

I know I was here before the general board
was added. I was here when the old, old board
was here. Not the blue one, but the one before
that. I can't remember what it looked like.

Eh, I've been learning too slowly. Time to
    speed up.

so many people have old names that they were known under...for example Salem used to be stee, and nvoigt used to be (nv)...by the way, i havent seen him post in awhile....

there should be a thing that shows up on the left of our post, just like our name, title, location, etc., where we can tell what past sn's we have had so people know who we are.

i wouldnt need it because i have been DavidP all along, but some people might have 3 or 4 different names under there...

I always thought you were David all along, and
that you added the "P" specifically for this
board. Who was that other guy?
