    Searching in comments

Anyone know of a current search engine that also looks at the information contained in commented portions of the page?

    Nope. Never seen one.

Just wondering... Why do you need to search commented portions of pages?

I'm writing a server with a slightly modifed version for research and experiments - it's so I can track the pages it processes.

edit: And incidentally DavidP, I'm currently looking at that option... seriously... that's I why I was looking for the paper by Google's creators last night.

since i know you will probably be going to byu, and you asked me about a webcrawler on AIM: ask anyone in CS 240 at BYU. You make your own webcrawler in that class.
