If I knew, I wouldn't have asked, don't you think? (please let's not turn this into a conversation)

If we're not having a conversation, then what in this world are we having?

Go where, you ask? Outer space. Where else? Interplantary
exploration is the only option Man has for survival. Once
Man leaves Mother Earth, then she will become a much better
place. Why, you ask? Because Man and Man alone is responsible for causing all the world's problems. Eventually Man will become
extinct, because Man will have made conditions on Earth unlivable
for human beings--but not other life forms.

That's not true, I think humans will first make this place unlivable for other life forms then die out themselves from lack of food...

Look at all the animals we are killing for our food, fur and other things...And we are chopping so many trees that animals can no longer live properly... we ARE making this world unlivable for other life forms too...

And thanks double, it took me a long time to type that out, hehe...

I would require registered users at cprogramming.com.

I would delete accounts that haven't been used in six months if they have over ten posts.

If there is less than ten... they would get one month from their last post.... and then bye bye.

    No seriously....

What I would do is what I am doing.... not sitting around thinking about it, but acting in the best way that I can to maintain a humanitarian viewpoint whilst noticing and moderating the damage given to the host I live on and the people around me.

    What more can you do?

No offense to you... but I have always found that question to be utterly infantile. Why? Because everybody's 'better place' is different. Everybody's 'better place' is managed with perception... a perception which indubitably changes often.

One can only find a better place within oneself and try to maintain it by being a person of action and steadfast faith in one's abilities and the things held dear.

A better question, in my eyes, is can we all ever agree....? Perhaps only in the finite reasoning of science and math, but even that can be flawed by those that do not understand the differences between the thought and the spirit.

Today the world is a wonderful place in my mind numbing stupor... why should it be better?

    >this place unlivable

yes, kill others, and in doing so kill ourselves... i agree with that propositions logik...

and of course it's a matter of perspective/relativity... that can justify or deny everything...

Um, maybe that's why he post this question? To get the opinions of everyone? I mean, you can't please everyone at the same time, but it would be nice to know what other people think. Of course everyone thinks differently, but everyone's opinions count.

And this conversation is just for fun anyway...It's not like Osk is really going to use these opinions to make the world a better place...Geez...

I said 'no offense' to him, Michelle.

This may be a new question to you, but believe it or not.... people have been pondering these things since the beginning of rational humanity.

It isn't the first time many of us have heard it.

I am not squashing opinions as you would suggest. I welcome opinions and feedback.... even yours.

    >>And this conversation is just for fun anyway

    Thinking is fun for me....

(BTW...You contradict yourself in your own post. If people can't please everyone and you are displeased.... well... I hope you can connect the dots. I posted my opinion... and it wasn't to please you.)

Furthermore... does everyone's opinion count if others have the opinion that it doesn't count. (how is that for a mind loop)

    >>>It's not like Osk is really going to use these opinions to make the world a better place

Why not? Are you saying you do not think that he wants the world to be a better place? The exchange of ideas is alway affluential. The things you have come to know, have been taught to you by experienced people and by your own behavioral experiences. The things you learn as a child stay with you as you learn more through life.

Have you ever seen Good Will Hunting? Do you remember the highly opinionated guy in the bar (or coffee house... whatever)? To draw an assumption here... your perceptions and beliefs may (and probably will) change with time and as more input is received.

I am interested to hear your opinion on that.... Do we change our beliefs and perceptions as time passes? Why? If something is sooo correct now, what makes it less correct later?

You don't have to answer if you do not think that it is fun.... it was fun for me to think about it and type it.

p.s. Don't sweat things so much... geez

I am not quite sure I understand what you writing. "No offense to you " but I don't really get what you are trying to say...

It doesn't matter if people have asked the same question lots of times. People have asked the question"how are you" for like billions of times, so?

And I really don't get the "please people" part...

I am not "sweating" it, I just want to say that people's opinions are different, doesn't mean that we can't ask to hear it...

Ahhhh... I suppose you really don't get what I am saying.

    I agree with you.

I want to hear other opinions, too.

I stated my opinion, which you didn't like.

I think you were right when you said you cannot
    please people all the time.

I can't make that any clearer, sorry.

Was I funny? Wow, I never knew that post was funny, anyway...

Sorry, I just got a little upset, sowwie.....forgive me....

But one thing I still think and think I will think for a while is that Bet is being a little pessimistic about things. NO OFFENSE. That's just my opinion... You need a bit of fun to balance out your life. ( And don't say you already have enough fun and your fun is in thinking. Thinking is not the kind of fun i mean. And don't ask what kind of fun i mean 'cause i dunno )
