    linux on mobiles anyone?
actually, linux on everything would cause the same problems. Window's monoculture like affect on the computer world is why security is lame for it, not to mention its spaghetti code. Linux on everything would just discourage script kiddies, not the people that actually know how to do things.

Seeing as how scriptkiddies are 90% of the malicous code writing group, your logic sucks.

actually no, script kiddies are the mere users/modifiers of the viruses. The actual writters of the original viruses are actually somewhat talented(especially the slammer writter). Writing exploits believe it or not does take in most cases knowledge of the actual workings of code, and it takes time, that is why viruses/worms like NimDa took years to make.

Almost all virus's released on the internet are harmless programs written to be annoying or to aggravate, and are written in VB/HTML/console, etc. These virus's are simple scripts written by script kiddies.

There are indeed many talented crackers, such as Elf Qrin, but these artists spend time developing useful applications that are often un-noticed.

A handful or the viri that the average user is exposed to are written by people like this, but MOST are written by script kiddies. Just because they are low-level does not mean they have no talent.

The assumption that a SK hasnt the ability to be the lead catagory for viri creation is ignorance.

" All Cell Phones Are Belong To Us"

Oh, I see what you did there. That's a clever take on that oh-so-new and hilarious AYB thing.

    Kudos, good sir.

I just wish them talented coders, script kiddies, or talented kiddies knew as much about writing constructive code as they did crap 'code'/script. They could help me on my game...although I wouldn't trust em as far as I could throw em.

If they are talented I can think of no better example of completely wasted talent.

actually, the good ones(the ones that actually find and take advantage of million line+ software flaws) are the guys who eventually get hired by Fortune 500 companies as software security analysts for 6 figures a year, so it definately isn't wasted.

Also, I bet there is somewhat of a notion of "fun" surrounding the whole thing. Basically, what is more fun, working a 80 hour a week programming job for 50k a year, or work at burger king and in the off time cost the world billions of dollars, and they choose the latter.
