    Grading AP CS Exams

    Hello All,

Well Java is my true language of choice.

Anyway, I am currently here at Clemson University grading the Free Response questions to the A and AB parts of the APCS exam.

I believe some of you that post here took the exam this year. Maybe I just might have a say in your score...

Anyway, it is late now and I have to be up and grading by 8:00am EDT.

I will try to share my insights when I return. I hope my C programming summer students are missing me

I've sent this post (and your real name, with the help of webmaster) to officials at http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/ and expressed my concern in a prejudice in grading which seems to be alluded to by this post. As some one that took the AP exams I feel uncomfortable when those who are in charge of grading exhibit this behavior.

I've requested that action be taken to remove such individuals from delicate procedings that impact the educational careers of students.

    Thank you.

Yah, definitely someone i don't want grading AP tests. I believe that everyone who put in the work to take these tests should be graded evenly and fairly.

Maybe it's my understanding of english as a foreign language, but to me it didn't sound as if he said anything about judging differently based on who you are. He just said that by coincidence he might have to judge your AP exams without knowing ( you don't hand them in with your Cprog handles, do you ? )

hmm, it's kind of hard to tell, but you've got a point nvoigt. Let's try and not let this turn in to another flame war or something.

Uhh... yeah, I don't see anything sinister about that post.
Personally, I think I'd go insane if I had to grade something like that... Have fun with it.

    April fools.

I didn't really send and email, my post was shens-a prank that didn't turn out.

    My motivation, revenge.

Thats right, I was indeed in the program and I took the physics ap test. I stewed in my seat while I waited (the very long wait) to find out of I got my credit.

The idea was turn around, a chance to make the oposing party stew in their seat! A chance to force the "what if" questions upon an individual responsible for the same question of many other individuals.

Unfortunatly this thread panned out to nothing. No response, no reply, no fun. Shucks.

Next time you decide to play a "prank", keep me out of it. I will have no part in any future equally ill-guided attempts at revenge.

Moreover, if that really was your motivation, you might consider whether there is really a connection between Mister C and those who administer the AP Physics test.
