whats reputation?
hey one thing i din know anywhere was (i dont think it is even mentioned in ur faq) about ur reputation points. what r they how do u get them? and what are those greeen or purple or whatever colored blocks below the ids of members?and whenever u keep ur mouse on that it says "gooddevil is an unknown quantity at this point". for some few it says something like "______ is on a distinguished road " or something to that effect. what r all these could someone explain?

Reputation is what other people think about you. If they like your post then they can add to your reputation and if they don't like it they can take away from your reputation. Whether this is a good feature or not is debatable.
Green bars mean you have a good reputation, red bars mean you have a bad reputation, grey bars mean you have no reputation and black bars mean you've disabled the feature. I've seen some people have two bars as opposed to one, but I have no idea what that means. Maybe it means they have over 100 points. The comments for each reputation are different depending on how many points you have. You're an unknown quantity at first, then on a distinguished road, then you'll be famous soon enough. I haven't seen anything higher than that yet.
If you look closely at a post you'll see a link that says "Add to so-and-so's reputation". Click that to see what you can do.
My best code is written with the delete key.
As you gain (or lose) reputation, the number of bars will increase based on the magnitude of your reputation, so it's possible to have quite a few bars.
it's a very stupid feature. Before a mod reset my reputation I had -40 points because people just gave me negative reputation on every post i made. even if it was intelligent.

Hmm I've only had 1 red box and I know I'm an arse.
What might be good is if there was a limit of how many rep hits you can get for a particular post. That way if you do mess up you can't get slammed by everyone.
