    BSc, BCSc

I'm curious to know if anyone knows the difference between a
"Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science" and a
    "Bachelor of Computer Science"
Those who i've asked already have been relatively unhelpful. Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can think of is, at my university, we have different colleges... Computer Science is a department in the College of Basic Sciences. So I'll get a Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science... Maybe some universities have a College or School dedicated to computer science, and you graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science... That's the only thing I can think of.. But I could be horribly wrong.

Eibro, are these degrees from different schools? I would think that they are the same degree worded differently. Usually comp. sci. is under the faculty of Science so a comp. sci. degree is a Bachelor of Science with specialization/major in Computing Science.

Yes, different schools. I talked to a few people, but none of them gave me a clear concise answer. Their explanations were packed with a lot of 'I think' and 'maybe's. If they're truly the same degree, then that would make my decision a whole lot simpler.

I have to agree with Drak on this one, but I'd tend to think that someone is just being lazy if they're saying "Bachelor of Computer Science".... it's a Bachelor's Degree... that's all anyone is going to care about.... although if it is a BA of Computer Science, I'd be worried.

check the schools CS department's out. If they are both under the faculty of science then i cant see them being any different (of course the CS program at any school will be different from others, i just mean the degree is probably the same).
