    Personality Types

    As part of my tutoring class we had to take the following personality exam: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

    I must say my type (INTJ) was dead on.

    So what type are you all and do you agree with the results?

    "Results are unreliable" becuase I didn't answer all the questions, like, "You value justice higher than mercy", when I value knowledge above both.

    At this point, I'm "ENTJ", but I wonder what the judging part is about.

    >You value justice higher than mercy

    I value them both equally, so I answered NO.

    if ( justice > mercy )
    Answer = YES;
    else Answer = NO;

    <notices that DavidP didn't answer what he was>

    The point of the question wasn't to see if you valued a third element above justice and mercy but if you valued justice over mercy. It's limiting your choices to get a better perspective on yourself.

    Oh my breakdown was 78 11 11 1 (dang rounding forces it to be over 100%)

    INTJ

    I've done this before. INTJ is a more rare type but extremely common among programmers. My boss and I are both INTJ. It was kinda weird reading the explanation of the type. It explained a lot.

    I did some reading on INTJ and there are two terms that seem to be used a bit: "Masterminds" and "System Builders". Makes a lot of sense for a programmer to be of that type. http://fuzzy.snakeden.org/intj/ was pretty cool about explaining it. I loved their "Dealing with INTJs" especially number 10
    Do not expect INTJs to actually care about how you view them. They already know that they are arrogant bastards with a morbid sense of humor. Telling them the obvious accomplishes nothing.

    This is a true statment, http://www.typelogic.com/entp.html;

    To the extent that Feeling is developed, ENTPs extravert Feeling judgment. As a result, it is not uncommon to find affability and bonhomie in members of this species. Tertiary functions are potentially utilitarian. Their limitations appear in their relative underdevelopment, diminished endurance, and vulnerability. ENTPs may harness Feeling's good will in areas such as sales, service, drama, humor and art. ENTP loyalty often runs high and can be hooked by those the ENTP counts as friends.

    I've taken this a couple of times before, and I think my personality type is INFP, which is pretty rare. That's introverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving. w00t! Many of those traits are mildly expressed, so it could go either way for many of the traits, depending on my mood. I could probably pretty easily qualify as INFJ too.
    I am a programmer. My first duty is to God, then to nation, then to employer, then to family, then to friends, then to computer, and finally to myself. I code with dignity, honor, and integrity.
