    cprogramming.com IRC channel

    [edit]

Managed to get one started up. Come along and hang around. I'm sure it'll fill up soon enough.

Don't let it die out, if no ones talking just stick around and it'll get going soon. be patient

    Server: irc.dal.net

    Channel: #csupport

    [/edit]

    ------------------------

Does cprogramming.com still have an irc channel?

I found a couple of threads related to one on DALnet, but no-one seems to be around.

It would be great if we could get it populated properly. There's enough people around. I think DALnet is a bit of a bad choice, but that can be sorted.

    What does everyone think?

Heh we've tried to get people in there at least two times I think. Last time there were only a few people (including myself) who used it.

I'd be willing to try again though

It would be great if one of the moderators could sticky this thread. Then hopefully it'll get enough attention to attract a few people.

i was there, everyone was an operator but me and nobody responded. I don't think this community is popular enough to have an IRC chat that actually has people chatting. Although i think it used to be. Somthing happened near the end of 2002, i'm telling you.

Yes I did respond to you Xterria Don't bash it too much, every channel has to start from somwhere.

It's still worth a go I'd say. I think it would help the people who frequent these boards get to know eachother better too which would be good.

There's already a few people interested. If you come along, just hang around and be patient, when we get enough people in there it'll keep itself going.

For those who are impeded by firewalls or don't wish to install an irc client, here are a couple of web gateways:

    http://www.polarhome.com/cgi-bin/chat/irc.cgi
    http://www.galgenberg.net/cgi-bin/cgiirc/irc.cgi

    Use:
    Server: dragons.ca.us.dal.net
    Channel: #cprogramming.com

If that server is unavailable a complete list can be found on the DalNet server page.

It was probably you that blew our poor cprog community apart.

anonytmouse - I think the room everyone should be using is #cprogramming.com. The topic for #cprogramming is completely incorrect for this site. That channel is not related to this site.

Why change what's already done? I know that channel's always been there, but why come and post mis-information.
