    Algorithms that changed the world.

    Interesting article i came across here . Kinda makes you wonder if the stuff your working on will ever change the world or have a huge impact, or just even make a difference.

    Everything you do makes a difference in some way. Wondering whether it will be "big" or not will usually just make you depressed because the "big" achievements don't seem big until they are discovered.

    yeah, you do have a point. it would just be nice to make a significant and noticable contribution somehow.

    funny, i was reading an article today about pattents, in fiscal 2003 there were about 300,000 new pattents in the US, and almost half of them were granted, something like that.
