    Free C++ Compiler from Microsoft

    Microsoft has made the command line toolkit for Visual C++ available for a free download. You can use the toolkit to build applications and redistribute them if you want.
    Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

    Thanks for the information and link, XSquared.
    These are the same compiler and linker that ship with Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional!...including the Standard Template Library
    That's different from those available with the sdk/.NET downloads.
