It usually doesn't hamper my code anyways. I just prefer scrolling through the thread not a little box.

But!..if they have to stay, at least make them the width of the thread, not just 3 1/2 inches wide.

It's the full width of the thread for me (Opera 7.23 on Linux). What browser are you using?
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

Does VB3 have a quick reply feature, so that we don't have to press "Post Reply"...I know that other versions of VB have that and it makes life a whole lot easier.

Looking at the code it seems the code box is 640 px wide. I do agree that it would be nice to have the width be variable depending on the screen reso (IE take up width of the post section.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I'm sure the webmasters had good intentions, but this really sucks. It looks so kiddish and juvenile. I"m grateful for the forum, but this was not an improvement.
Also where is the option to view new posts? :confused

I'm at 1024x768 and the code box is about 3/4 of the post/content portion of the thread. I think the user information pane on the left could be a tad narrower and the code box centered and 98% width of the post section..or something.

We just upgraded the board last night and haven't had time to fix all of the issues with the new style. This version of vBulletin has a lot of new features that have nothing to do with display options (which is why we upgraded), but the new version uses a new templating system. We are working to restore the interface to its previous simplicity while maintaining ways of accessing the many new features.

    One thing,

I beg you to please get rid of the red text on blue backgrounds and red on gray background. It is seriously hurting my poor eyes.

I like the new features of this version, but I hate the look. If you could change the theme back, but keep the new features it'd be great. This is just hard to read.

hmm...this text box i am typing in right now seems to be incredibly small compared to everything else....

So now that the board has a new look, everyone is calling what used to be the board just a day ago "the old board".

does this mean that the real old board will now be referred to as "the old old board" and the old theme will now be "the old board" and now this is the "new board"?

    [edit]
I figured it out now....this new theme has that kiddy Windows XP'ish theme...that's what it is...
