    Warning: This a constructive criticsm!

This board is in urgent need of a web designer. The theme/layout construction is regressing hour by hour.

Have patience. Redoing the boards like this is a major undertaking. I, and particuarlly the Webmaster, have other lives too. We are working hard to fix all of the problems, but it will take time,

Well, all right then. Just next time when another reconstruction needs to be done, just have the preview available to users to critize and implement it when it's ready.

... which would be even more work. I think the new board is excellent. A few bumps at first but nothing you couldn't "suffer" through for a day or two. Being a Mod I get the view from the inside, and I can tell you; The webmaster and Kermi have been 100% on top of fixing and changing everything as soon as its suggested.

    Peace

The preview could be just the template with some sample posts yet functional so that users could test drive it.
With the current method of upgrading, users will get irritated with the constant change of interface. First time visitors will see a poorly designed website (instead of an unfinished one).
I understand there's only a few of you cprogramming staff but a good planning is ... (fill in the blank).

    Take it easy,

    Take it easy,

The vast majority of these changes have not been "plannable." The problems occuring stem from upgrading to a new version of VBulliten. V3.0 (the new one) uses a new system of templates and styles that are not compatible with the styles from V2.3.4. There is a portion of the installation that attempts to convert the old style into v3.0, but it is not perfect. The problems we are having come from the incompatibilities. Therefore, it was impossible to plan for this kind of error because we could not preview or remodel the board in 3.0 until we upgraded.

Very few descisions on these boards are haphazard or unthought out. The webmaster has been working very hard to fix all of the little bugs, but he can only work so fast. Bare with us and hopefully the board will be smoothed out soon.

Don't lie, we all know that you just sit in the mod board and say "Hey, you know what would be kinda cool? Let's make the boards really ugly for a day!"

    We're on to you, buddy.

Also, lightatdawn, I thought you were dead. What's up with that?

another thing i noticed, not sure if anyone's already posted this, there's over 100 posts here already *sigh*

but anyways, it's really hard to tell the difference between two different posts....so yah, maybe some way to make it easier to distinguish one post from another other than that little white line

We are aware of the spacing problem and working on it. Thanks for the feedback.

Oops, my bad. The Mods went to town on the Undead Board and brought me back. Theres been a shortage of virgin elephants ever since. [/obscure oldtimers inside joke]

Seriously though, I've been prowling in invisible mode the entire time. Don't think you've gotten away with anything, Ken... I've been keeping a list...

How about giving the reply box a fixed width font. It would make posting code significantly easier. Currently, if you want the spacing right, you have to go and type it in an external text editor first(unless you're a genius).

Oh my, I wonder if the undead board is still around .

Anyway, *points to custom title* of course I haven't gotten away with anything.

edit: I'm not saying anything, but I may or may not have just wandered back into an old party in one board and brought some prognography into another board
