    Question Email Marketing with Macromedia?

I've got a question for you and I'm confident one of our knowledgable professionals on the board will be able to assist me.

Are you familiar with some way to send an email to someone with some kind of embedded video (I'm guessing some sort of Macromedia Flash type product, but I really have no idea) that will inform the sender when it is read or forwarded to someone else? Have you heard of any sort of software that does such a thing?

I am going to help an acquaintance with the second website he will be using for his business. He hasn't gotten it up and running yet, but says when he does that he wants to do the stuff I just mentioned. I'd like to help him, but I have a complete lack of experience with any Macromedia app (which, again, is just what I'm guessing he was talking about).

If you can help, please do. Thanks.

If you can't answer me about the video part, I guess in most general terms, I am interested in how one could send an email that would inform the sender when it is read or forwarded. Any ideas?

hmmmmmm....ive never seen an email with embedded video in it, although it seems logical that it could be done.

If HTML is enabled, then I presume you would be able to embed a video in the email. You would probably have to have it stored on the web somewhere. I'm not sure if it would work if you embedded the video in the HTML and then sent the video along as an attachment also (that would almost defeat the purpose anyways).

But that is an interesting question, I don't think I have ever seen it done.

Lucky: your info says you are from Orange County. I have been there twice, and my bro lived there for 2 years. Are you viet? Orange County has a huge population of viets.

As a matter of fact, no, I am not Vietnamese, but my fiance is. Yes there are tons of Viet people here. If I were to guess, I'd say we've got the biggest Viet population around (aside from in Vietnam of course). Have you ever been there? I just went in January... Very interesting.
