    My new PC!!!! Woot!!!

    i got my new pc yesterday!!!

    Intel P4 2.8 with hyperthreading
    Intel Bayfield Motherboard
    512 MB DDR400
    Ge-Force FX5200 128 MB
    80 GIG SATA Had Disk
    Sound Blaster Live Soundcard
    Coolermaster Aero4 CPU cooler
    16X Samsung DVD Player
    52X25X52 Aopen Cd writer
    Blue CCFL case light
    Antec Modded case with See throug side panel
    600VA ups
    Samsung Stiffy drive (a pc isn't a pc without one)
    17" Samsung Monitor
    Microsoft Multimedia Intelitype keyboard
    Microsoft Intelipoint optical mouse

    Feels like I'm forgetting something....

    I'm soooooo exited!!!!!

    Not a bad rig, although you might be kicking yourself when PCIX and the new socket processors come out...

    i don't actually care about that. My pc is good enough to run just about anything. So I don't care if there is some new technology on the way. Plus I live in South Africa which means that when It comes, it will be way to expensive to buy.

    Echo that. Anyone looking for a new computer/trying to upgrade right now is just throwing money away. Greater speeds are just around the corner.

    I live in South Africa which means that when It comes, it will be way to expensive to buy.

    When they come out the older stuff will get cheaper. Not right away of course but after a bit prices will drop a good deal on the old stuff. Right now I am waiting for new vid cards so I can buy a nicer radeon with my 200$.

    Echo that. I'm waiting for AMD socket 939 and the next gen video cards to pick up a "low end" A64 and either see how the next gen cards are or hopefully find a Radeon 9800 XT for like <$200

    Nice PC though, aside from the video card. I wish nVidia had never made that piece of crap, it tricks consumers into thinking it's a good card with tricky marketing
