IIRC wasn't the only reason for the creation of the C# board was because TK and others kept being annoying enough?
This thread has been opened and closed more than... yeah.

At this time, Cprogramming.com remains a site focused on C and C++. If, in the future, the site expands to cover other languages, then it would be appropriate to consider adding additional boards to cover those languages. As it stands, the majority of the audience of this site is looking for information relevant to C and C++, not Java, so it is unlikely that such a board would receive enough traffic to justify its existence.
The C# board receives more than an order of magnitude less traffic than the C and C++ boards. This suggests that a Java board would also have a relatively low post total.

i think the reason why people are asking these questions now is because they got rid of C++ from all school curriculums and replaced it with Java and now we're getting more and more java people out there. just ........es me off
I've heard some schools are realising JAVA isn't livnoing up to expectations and some have started teaching C again. Someone posted that on this board. Wonder if its true.
While we are at it we are gonna have another fourm. I vote for Python . Its just so much better than JAVA and it compliments C/C++. No joke. In regards to the poll. PLEASE
>>>>Well, technically we have a C# board. C# is most like Java than C or C++. But I suppose it meets the requirement of having a C in the name.
I also read last month - I think it was CUJ - can't remember, that microsoft is gonna be changing c++ in some radical way, probably becase c# sucks. Either way, they've hired some big guns, including memebers from the ISO C commitee and even Bjarne Stroustrup. *shudders* * 10. i don't know if i want to see that. I know i don't have much facts for it now, but hey, time will prove me right. unless someone else has heard about it too.

My school has offered both languages for quite a while. The only difference is that we now have "C++" and "AP Java" instead of "AP C++" and "Java".
This board doesn't need more forums... (Though (I (think (a (LISP (forum (would (be (interesting.)))))))))
*hides in a corner*
why not change the C# board to the "Other Programming Languages" board then? That way all the non-C stuff (assembly, java, C#, etc..) can have a home.Originally posted by webmaster

OH HELL NO!
i agree totally with jverkoey in the sense that it pises me off that most schools have wiped C++ directy out of the cirriculum for the simple fact that todays youth are completely lazy and retarded and cant even wrap their minds around basic HTML.
Now im lazy, but i made the smart decision to resist Java and go to C++.
i mean check out my sig.

Noo don't do that I like the C# board how it is. Why not make a seperate board for other languages... or move it to the tech boardPerspective was being a smartass and said:

Well...the C# board can still remain the way it is but we can have another board as perspective suggestedOriginally posted by stovellp
